A FIT mum has shared her salad dip recipe that helped her lose 12kg almost a year after giving birth.
The dish looked delicious and it was so easy to make that she could do it even with a baby on her hip.
Fitness enthusiast Haley Hogan (@hellahealthyhaleyhogan) uses her online platform to help others achieve their weight loss goals
In her food videos she is regularly accompanied by her son as sous chef.
He made a special appearance in one Instagram role while she made a cucumber and pepper salad with tasty toppings.
“After I had a baby, this is the salad I ate that helped me lose 40 pounds,” she said before taking a bite of a chip.
She often joked that she had a “one-handed talent” for chopping ingredients with a knife in one hand and holding her baby on her hip in the other.
Her son was in and out of her arms throughout the video as she prepared the healthy snack.
She completed the recipe step by step, listing each ingredient used for the dip on the screen.
At the end of the video, she mixed it all up and ate it with corn chips.
Haley wrote in the video's caption that it was “so delicious.”
In addition to a healthy diet, she also does strength training several times a week to maintain her figure.
Recipe for Haley's salad dip
- Three mini cucumber
- Five mini peppers
- 1/2 box of cherry tomatoes
- Two cloves of garlic
- A piece of red onion
- Mozzarella balls and some oil
- Two avocados
- Garlic salt
- Chopped garlic
- Garlic and herb
- Salt and pepper
- Corn chips
Many viewers were proud of her multitasking skills.
“Mom, you're doing great!!! The salad is perfect and I'm definitely going to try it,” said one viewer.
