Luke Littler ‘could earn up to £10k-a-night as an after-dinner speaker’ as teen darts ace, 17, looks to cash in on meteoric rise to fame by trademarking famous nickname

Dart bait for teens Lucas Kleiner could earn ‘up to £10,000’ a night doing after-dinner speaking engagements after signing with agency Champions as he tries to cash in on his meteoric rise to fame.

Littler, 17, has joined the speaking bureau, which could soon see him sharing his secrets of how he has already raced to the top of his sport.

Another sign that he is putting his now national brand into practice is that the darts prodigy has also taken steps trademarked his nickname, Luke The Nuke.

It comes after the Warrington-born teenager became the youngest player ever to reach the final of the World Darts Championship in January.

Littler didn’t come out on top on that occasion, but still took home a cool £200,000 in prize money – and could soon add up to £10,000 per speaking engagement to that pot. Sun reports. It is believed he has already amassed around £650,000 in prize money in the first five months of this year.

‘Recently in 2024, Luke Littler made headlines when he made his debut at the 2024 PDC World Darts Championships, beating the opposition to reach his first major PDC quarter-final and semi-final.

‘Currently also PDC World Youth Champion, Luke is making his mark on the darts world and cementing his name in the history books of the sport.

Littler has also shown a smart business mind outside the darts circuit. setting up his own company and filing an application with the government’s Intellectual Property Office to trademark his famous nickname, Luke The Nuke.

Reports suggest that the application would cover a wide range of products, including beauty products such as perfume, soap and deodorant.

But Littler, which already sells its own officially licensed darts, stems and flights and darts shirts, also wants to sell everyday clothing such as t-shirts, pajamas and even ‘Nuke’ slippers.

The filing was made at the IPO by Gravity Brands Ltd, a Harlow-based company led by businessman Garry Plummer, who is also chairman of darts company Target Darts, responsible for Littler’s official range of darts.

His company Luke Littler Darts Limited has been filed by management firm Zxf Sports Management, which represents a large number of darts players, including Littler.

Neil Hopkins of advertising agency M&C Saatchi said earlier this year that Littler was likely to command six-figure sums for any sponsorship deals to keep his bank balance healthy.

And sports marketing consultant Daniel Tunna said: “Luke is a generational darts talent and he has already achieved remarkable things.

‘If he spends 20 years at the top of the darts world, he could be well on his way to amassing a fortune of £40 million.

‘Littler’s talent, combined with smart management and continued high-level performance, has the potential to make him the highest-earning darts player in the world.’

Littler has already concluded a large number of sponsorship agreements including fashion brand boohooMAN – and has even appeared in a TV ad.

Reps for Luke Littler and Champions have been contacted for comment.
