But he couldn't repeat his performance today in Leicester.

Littler won in four rounds, beating Keane Barry 5-3, followed by Cameron Menzies, Kevin Doets and Dirk van Duijvenbode.

However, he came unstuck against world number 33 Rydz, falling 6-4 to the Geordie at the Mattioli Arena.

Rydz enjoyed a brilliant day at work after making an incredible comeback to beat Daryl Gurney.

The 25-year-old trailed Gurney 5-0 before winning six in a row.

Rydz continued his momentum against Littler by sprinting to a 3-1 lead.

Littler continued to fight and you could tell he was getting frustrated with his own performance.

His opponent won the match 6-4 and booked a place in the semi-finals against Gary Anderson.
