MP HORROR: Gwalior teen raped at gunpoint in front of parents
A 15-year-old girl was raped at gunpoint by three men in the presence of her parents on Monday evening. The disturbing incident took place in a village in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh.
Madhya Pradesh News: A gruesome incident has emerged in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior district where a 15-year-old girl was raped at gunpoint by three men in front of her parents on Monday evening.
A senior official said on Wednesday that the vicious and disturbing incident took place on Monday evening in a village in Bhanwarpur area of Gwalior district, but a police complaint was lodged in this regard two days later.
The official said the suspect attacked the minor's parents and then raped her at gunpoint, adding that the family had moved to the locality only a month ago.
“On Monday evening, an incident took place involving a minor girl and her family in a village under Bhanwarpur police station limits in the district in which the minor was raped and her parents assaulted,” Gajendra Vardhaman, Additional Superintendent of Police ( ASP) to the news. Agency ANI.
The ASP said that based on the complaint filed by the victim's parents, the police have registered a case against three accused under Sections 323, 376, 376d, 458, 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the strict POCSO (Protection of Children). of the Sexual Offenses Act) and started an investigation into the case.
A PTI report quoting another senior police officer said that one accused has been arrested by the police while two others are absconding and the police have launched a manhunt to arrest them at the earliest.
“One suspect has been arrested. Efforts are on to arrest the other two who are on the run,” ASP Rishikesh Meena told news agency PTI.
ASP Meena said the arrested suspect is being interrogated and further investigation into the case is underway.
10-year-old raped in Cuttack while returning from school
In a related incident, a 10-year-old girl, who lives in an orphanage, was raped in Odisha's Cuttack while returning from school. According to police, the incident took place on Monday afternoon in College Square area, near Cuttack railway station, when the girl was returning to the orphanage from school.
The minor victim is currently undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital, Railway SP Biranchi Prasad Dehury told PTI.
The child lives in the orphanage after the death of her mother, while her father is in prison, police said.
After the incident, she somehow managed to return to the orphanage and told what happened to her. She was immediately admitted to hospital and a police complaint was filed.
A four-member police team is investigating the case and has recorded the girl's statement, police said.
