Breathtaking Maine home with its own private sandy beach lists for $3M

A breathtaking house Maine fit with a private sandy beach has hit the market for almost $3 million.

The four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom home was built in 2017 and is located at Soaring Eagle Pt in Northportjust over an hour outside of Augusta.

It was recently listed for $2.95 million when listing agent Brian Wickenden of Legacy Properties Sotheby’s said the beach is what makes the home so unique.

The sandy area along the 330-foot stretch of ocean offers spectacular views of two islands: Camden Hills and Penobscot Bay. A ferry runs daily from Lincolnville to Islesboro, passing the home’s private beach.

“On a nice summer day, you’ll probably see someone there,” he said. “But there’s plenty of room to share,” Wickenden said Bangor daily news.

Wickenden said that while about four to five neighbors also have access to the beach, it “doesn’t get much use” because many of the homes are rented out seasonally.

Aside from the beach, the 3,306-square-foot home sits on 6.5 acres of land. There is also a screened-in porch, a two-car garage, and an additional five to ten gravel parking spaces.

The interiors of the homes are filled with a mix of earth tones and blues, along with exposed brick and natural stone.

In the living room, a wide stone fireplace is surrounded by an abundance of natural light, exposed ceiling beams and beautiful hardwood floors.

Just off the living room is a large eat-in kitchen with the same hardwood, ceiling lighting, slate countertops and a zinc-wrapped island.

The kitchen is also equipped with stainless steel appliances, white cabinets and shiplap walls.

One bedroom is located just off the kitchen, with dark pastel blue walls, great lighting through the windows, a closet and a full bathroom.

Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with a similar blue color on the walls, dark furniture, ample lighting, a closet, wardrobe and bathroom.

The bathroom attached to the room is located in the center of the upper floor, with a door accessed from the master and another at the top of the stairs.

Another room that also has a similar shade of blue is filled with a large bed, good lighting and space for a sofa or lounge area.

Downstairs in the basement there is room for a sectional sofa, extra chairs, a giant flat screen TV and an additional living area for guests.

There is a room with two single beds, a full bathroom and another bedroom in the basement.

The backyard, near the private beach, features grass, space for a picnic table and a garden.

Wickenden said the owners who sold the property originally built it as their home, but eventually moved and rented it out instead.

Although it could be used for seasonal or permanent living, Wickenden said most people might consider it a summer home.

“In the future, I think it’s more likely that it will just be someone’s summer home,” he said.

‘Most people in this price range are looking for housing.’
