One of the main problems for the teacher is that he cannot talk to female teachers without people thinking that something else is going on between them.

“We can’t talk to a female teacher without other colleagues or students thinking we’re dating,” he said.

In fact, it’s not just the female teachers that Mr. Chuntz said he can’t have an innocent conversation with; students also constantly try to put him in touch with their mothers.

And because he is one of the few male teachers, he is forced to become ‘everyone’s workman’.

When he’s not acting as a hubby, the female teachers also love to rant to Mr. Chuntz about their partners, but he said he knows better than to give any advice – he’s in the minority, after all.

We actually have our own private bathroom because there are so few of us.”

“We are going to listen to your complaints about your partner, not give advice and simply agree with you,” he said.

Despite actually being a math teacher, Mr Chuntz says people always assume he is a gym teacher.

Then there are the usual things that come with being one of the few men in the building, like helping put up display boards and other quick DIY jobs around the school.

But being there advantages to be the only man in a female-dominated workplace, he continued.

One of the benefits is that other teachers will bring in leftovers for you.

I’m a teacher and a parent scolded me for mispronouncing their child’s unique name – the punctuation was not silent

“Our colleagues bring us all the food left over from their family parties because we are becoming boys,” he joked.

And the bathroom situation isn’t too shabby either, considering most of the other teachers are women.

“We actually have our own private bathroom because there are so few of us,” he said.

And despite his masculine appearance, the teacher said he still knows who all the Disney princesses are and has “the most fun” doing his job.

After sharing the tongue-and-cheek video on TikTok, other teachers chimed in to share their experiences.

“My colleague, who was more of a teacher, knew more than any man should know about menopause and childbirth,” one person wrote.

“Finally I feel seen! I would talk about these things with my male colleagues, but I don’t,” said another.

And a third commented: “I was a single male teacher and I’ll tell you the dates I made an appointment!”

Meanwhile, a mother said she always tries to get male teachers for her son because she is single.

“As a single mother, I always have an eye on the male teachers for my son,” she wrote.
