Bollywood stars Manoj Bajpayee And Shah Rukh Khan started their acting career in the same acting group in Delhi. However, both artists followed different paths in the film industry. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh became a prominent star in Indian cinema, and Manoj won hearts in small cinema with unconventional roles in films. During a recent conversation, Bajpayee said that SRK and his world were so different that they rarely met. He noted that even though they were all members of the same acting group, Shah Rukh had his own group of friends and he had his circle of friends.

In an interview with JistManoj Bajpayee said that he is not meeting Shah Rukh Khan now as they have become people from different worlds and their paths do not cross. He also explained that their friendship wasn’t very close at the time because they had their separate friend circles. Bajpayee commented: “Milna to nahi hota. Do alag alag duniya ke log hum ho chuke hai. To humare raastein nahi takrate. Uss samay bhi dosti aisi nahi thi, uska apna ek circle of friends tha, more apna ek circle of friends tha. Ek hee group mein the hum log, jab ek hee group mein kaam karte ho to sabke saath jaan pehchaan hoti hai, sabke saath uthna baithna hota hai, sabke saath khana hota hai (sic).”

Manoj Bajpayee also shared an anecdote about watching The Archies with his daughter, expressing surprise at the show’s obscurity as his childhood memories swirled Motu Patlu and Ram Balram. Highlighting the shift in language preferences among children, he noted that his daughter Ava was watching in English, prompting him to encourage her to speak Hindi.

Bajpayee said, “Most kids these days speak English, so I scolded her that is a Hindi bola karo (sic).” He expressed surprise at her interest in the show, as it was not part of his own childhood. He said he may have only read one book Archieshe remembered characters like Veronica and Betty.

On the work front, Manoj Bajpayee was appreciated for his advocacy work in ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai.’ He also worked on Devashish Makhija’s Joram, which debuted on Zee5 in December. The actor’s next role will be in Abhishek Chaubey’s criminal comedy series Killer soup, starring Konkana Sensharma. Sayaji Shinde, Rajeev Ravichandran and Nassar are also featured. The film will be released on Netflix on January 11 this year.
