Here we reveal the top 13 cheapest towns for pints in Britain – where the only painful price we’ll have to pay will be the morning after.

At the top of the ranking of ‘cheapest pints’ Coventry. According to Numbeoan imperial pint of beer in this cathedral city in the West Midlands sells for an average of £3.89 ($4.85).

The second cheapest city for beer is Newcastle upon Tyne (£4.11), with Swansea in third place. In this Welsh coastal city you can experience the vibrant nightlife with pints of beer costing an average of just £4.36.

Conquering fourth place is Aberdeen. It’s a hub in a Scottish region known for its whisky, but the £4.39 beer price is an extra reason to visit.

Readinghome to one of Britain’s biggest festivals, it comes in fifth place (£4.44), while sixth place is split, with seven cities all offering pints for an average of £4.45 – Nottingham, Leicester, Dundee, Sheffield, Cardiff, Bournemouth And Preston.

Rounding out the least expensive rankings is Birmingham, where pubgoers can pay an average of £4.46 for their glass of merriment.

THE 14 MOST EXPENSIVE CITY SPINTS IN THE UK

It is not surprising that the capital Londonranks first for the most expensive pint in Britain, costing an average of £6.74 ($8.40) according to Numbeo.

And Brighton lives up to its nickname ‘London-on-Sea’ and ranks second in the ‘expensive’ rankings. A pint in this lively coastal town costs an average of £6.66.

Taking third place, Oxford is next on the list. The prestigious university town sells pints for an average of £5.80. Not cheap.

Customers can expect to dig deep for a pint Belfastalso, which ranks fourth on the ‘expensive’ list.

Those visiting Northern Ireland’s capital, birthplace of the Titanic, can expect to pay £5.78 for beer.

Edinburgh and ‘capital of the north’ Manchester joint fifth on the list (both £5.57), while Bristol And Cambridge also bind. Together they occupy sixth place, with pints costing £5.55 in both places.

The famous historical city Exeter is closer to the bottom of our list of most expensive pints in seventh place. There, beer lovers can expect to pay £5.47 per pint.

Coming in eighth place is Liverpool. This famous northern city is home to Britain’s longest cathedral, has more Georgian buildings than Bath and serves pints that cost £5.45.

The next one on the rankings comes Norwich (ninth/£5.00), with Portsmouth And Glasgow tied for 10th place (both £4.99).

The ‘expensive’ ranking is supplemented with Leeds, the birthplace of Marks and Spencer. There, pints cost an average of £4.89.

Many Brits and visitors will rue the prices in these rankings. But there’s a silver lining: they’re a lot lower than the cities with the most expensive beer in Europe.
