Here we reveal the top 10 cheapest pint prices in Europe, which amount to little more than wads of change.
Using the online database Numbeo, we’ve also identified places to visit that don’t deserve a toast when it comes to the cost of a beer: the 10 places with the most expensive pints.

THE LEAST EXPENSIVE PINTS IN EUROPE

The 20 cheapest and most expensive pints of beer for tourists in Europe
For tourists, Debrecenlocated in eastern Hungary, it offers the cheapest pint in Europe – costing just 92p ($1.12) per 0.5 litre.
Thirsty travelers can book a cheap and cheerful holiday in Hungary’s second largest city, and enjoy a pint for six times less than the eye-watering London average of £6.08.
The place is quite easy to reach, with Wizz Air operate return flights from London Luton for less than £100 ($124.18).
But where else can beer lovers venture without spending a lot of money?
One economic place is Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. It ranks second in our top 10 ‘least expensive’ rankings. Amid blocks of Soviet-style architecture lie affordable pubs where beer costs an average of just £1.13 ($1.36).
In third place Szeged in Hungary. Often referred to as ‘the city of sunshine’, visitors can cool themselves down with a pint for just £1.15 ($1.38).
Szczecin in Poland may not be as popular as other cities in the country, such as Krakow, Wroclaw or Gdansk, but the cheap drinks can be enough of a distraction for some. Its £1.18 ($1.42) pints put it in fourth place in our rankings.
Comes in fifth place Presov in Slovakia, with pints of beer costing an average of just £1.22 ($1.47).

Rounding out the top 10 in the cheapest rankings is Sibiu (above) in Transylvania, Romania. Visitors to the fang-tastic city are surrounded by medieval architecture and can purchase 500ml glasses of beer for £1.41 ($1.69)
The Bulgarian coastal city Burgasmeanwhile, sells pints for just £1.30 ($1.56), putting it in six places.
Targu Mures in Romania ranks seventh thanks to beer points costing an average of £1.32 ($1.59).
In joint eighth place are two spots in Bosnia and Herzegovina – Mostar And Banja Lukawhere pints of beer can be snagged for the cheap price of £1.33 ($1.60).
The top 10 is rounded off Sibiu in Transylvania, Romania. Visitors to the tasteful city are surrounded by medieval architecture and can purchase 500ml glasses of beer for £1.41 ($1.69).
THE MOST EXPENSIVE PINTS IN EUROPE
According to Numbeo, an average pint in Reykjavík will set customers back £8.21 ($9.87)
Those wanting to find a cheap pint may want to avoid this Reykjavík. It tops our top 10 most expensive places in Europe to buy a pint. The average price for a beer there is £8.21 ($9.87), yet the city still has a vibrant nightlife.
To put away in Norway gets the unwanted honor of being home to Europe’s second most expensive pint. In the picturesque city, surrounded by mountains and fjords, a pint costs an average of £8.09 ($9.72).
The rest of the top 10 consists of StavangerNorway (third, £7.75/$9.32); EspooFinland (fourth, £7.65/$9.20); TrondheimNorway (fifth, £7.38,$8.87); OsloNorway (sixth, £7.35/$8.83); Geneva in Switzerland, Lausanne in Switzerland, and Zurich in Switzerland (all joint seventh, £7.24/$8.70); And BaselSwitzerland (eighth, £7.23/$8.69).
