Marion Grasby has shared her favorite recipes for easy summer fun on a budget.

The celebrity chef and MasterChef Australia star’s dishes are perfect for an Australian summer Christmas or any other festive event during the festive season.

She suggests preparing her Crying Tiger Lamb dish for a cheap, plentiful and delicious option.

“The leg of lamb steak in particular is a really great cut of meat because you can slice it very thinly and then fan it out, so you get that nice look of abundance, but you don’t have to buy as much as you might think,” she says Yahoo.

Another meal she recommends is her Thai-style Panang Grilled Lamb Chops, which she calls the “ultimate main course” because it’s quick and requires only “a little grilling.”

In a video on Instagram, the television personality went through the process of making her special chocolate cake.

Only three ingredients are needed: 500ml thickened cream, a generous dash of Queen vanilla paste and a 250g pack of Arnott’s Choc Ripple biscuits.

Chrissie explained that all you have to do is ‘whip the cream very thick and then build up your block’.

She described the cookies as the “brick” and the cream as the “mortar” and layered the cookies and cream to form a block.

The dessert is then wrapped in foil and left in the refrigerator overnight before being cut diagonally to serve.

As an optional extra, Chrissie suggested crushing a Peppermint Crisp chocolate bar to decorate, plus some Christmas ornaments for a seasonal touch.
