MCDONALD’S has given fans an early Easter treat by bringing back an iconic burger in a huge menu shake-up.
The American fast food giant is known as one of the best in the business, but things have just gone a step further.
That’s because McDonald’s has announced the return of their famous Double Big Mac burger.
They’re ready to revive one of their most beloved classics, just in time for Easter.
As part of the latest menu shake-up, the Double Big Mac will hit stores across the UK from March 13.
Three new Easter-themed items will also make their debut, while three previously scrapped items will return for a limited time.
Nevertheless, fans have gone into a frenzy following the announcement of the menu shake-up.
After finding out the Double Big Mac will be making its long-awaited comeback, one McDonald’s lover said, “Look what’s going to happen on the 13th… I’ve been waiting for it all year.”
It is now expected that customers will once again rush into the nearest restaurant to get their hands on the tasty food.
The McCrispy Deluxe will also make a triumphant return after being taken off the menu last year.
The burger, which costs £5.89, consists of 100 per cent chicken spread, hot and spicy mayonnaise, caramelised onion compote, lettuce, bacon, red onions and a slice of cheddar cheese.
The golden oldies Halloumi Fries (€2.79) and the iconic Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry (€2.19) will also soon come back to life during the Easter period.
As far as new releases go, customers are certainly in for a treat.
In the true spirit of Easter, McDonald’s is launching a Hot Cross Bun Pie (£1.99) later this month.
The dessert consists of a “crispy cinnamon pastry filled with a spiced fruit mix and a butter flavored filling.”
If that’s not enough, there’s also the Hot Cross Bun Latte (£2.69) – to match.
Sweetened with Hot Cross Bun flavor syrup, cinnamon cream and a Hot Cross Bun flavoring, this one is not to be missed.
Finally, a new Galaxy Truffle Bunny McFlurry will grace the McDonald’s menu.
The soft dairy ice cream is served with pieces of Galaxy Truffle rabbit ears, white and dark chocolate drops and Galaxy chocolate sauce.
McDonald’s has not yet confirmed how long the Easter range will remain in stores.
