McDisappointed! McFlurry fans feast on the restaurant’s new Lotus Biscoff-flavored ‘knock-off’ dessert — which uses caramel instead of the brand’s sauce

McDonald’s fancy new addition to the dessert menu has left fans hungry for more.

The fast food chain released a new Lotus Biscoff McFlurry to its UK restaurants yesterday as part of its summer menu.

Initially, fans of the brand and cookies were delighted with the news, with some saying they couldn’t wait to get their hands on the dessert.

However, many people complained that the treat, which will only be available for six weeks, uses caramel sauce instead of Lotus Biscoff sauce.

Many expressed their disappointment online, with some calling the dessert a “knock-off.”

MailOnline has asked McDonald’s for comment.

A regular Lotus Biscoff McFlurry costs £1.99

Lotus Biscoff McFlurries were released at the McDonald’s UK restaurant yesterday, starting at £1.49 for a mini, with a regular price of £1.99, but fans weren’t convinced

The ingredient that most people seemed to be disappointed with was the frozen yogurt sauce.

“You brought out a Biscoff Mcflurry and didn’t even use Biscoff sauce just biscuits?”

“Bitterly disappointed by this and I hope you guys are disappointed in yourselves,” said one adamant fan.

‘Biscoff McFlurry… 4/10. They use s*** fudge sauce instead of cookie sauce???

“Absolute knock-off,” said another.

“The new Biscoff Mcflurry I had today has no Biscoff sauce.

“It was literally some Biscoff crumb, I thought it was a mistake but apparently that’s right,” one wrote.

“I was really looking forward to a Biscoff McFlurry but just found out the sauce isn’t even Biscoff so what’s the point,” another asked.

One added, “The Biscoff Mcflurry isn’t even real Biscoff sauce, so dead.”

The move to roll out the dessert was in response to customer calls when the announcement read, “You asked for it.” We deliver.’

The dessert has previously been available abroad, but this is the first time British customers can try it.
