Meet Kim Denicola, a 60-year-old woman who lost 30 years of memory after waking up with a severe headache

Kim Denicola, an American woman, experienced significant memory loss over the past 30 years after receiving treatment for severe headaches in a hospital five years ago. When Kim woke up after the medical intervention, she thought she was a teenager living in the 1980s. Little did she know that the treatment would catapult her back in time and erase three decades of her memories.

HOW DID KIM DENICOLA’S LIFE CHANGE WHEN SHE LOST 30 YEARS OF HER MEMORY?

In a recent interaction with WAFBKim has opened up about how her life was changed forever by the bizarre incident. While her memory was wiped, Kim is now in the process of relearning and adapting to the technological advances of recent years. Despite conducting thorough tests and scans, doctors remain uncertain about the cause of her memory loss. Five years have passed since the incident, but her memory has not returned.

Kim had been keeping diaries and revisiting them in hopes of reminiscing. However, she reveals that looking at the diaries is like peeking into someone else’s life, and not every memory in them is positive. “I even went through some of them and tore the pages out,” Kim said.

Nevertheless, despite her challenging experience, the woman, now in her 60s, has moved forward with optimism and looks forward to creating new memories. “You can’t be angry and bitter because the good Lord left me here for a reason. Whatever that is, I’m sure he’ll let me know one way or another. And maybe this is it, maybe it’s to tell people that you don’t have to give up,” Kim said.
