Melbourne rideshare driver, 43, charged over rape of teenager, 19 during alleged late-night attack
A rideshare driver has been charged with rape and false imprisonment after a teenager was allegedly attacked after getting into his vehicle.
The 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Melbourne’s CBD shortly before 2am on Monday after getting into what she thought was a ride.

Officers arrested a 43-year-old man at his home in Pakenham on Thursday.
He has been charged with rape and false imprisonment, and his driver’s license has been revoked.
The man will appear in the Melbourne District Court on Friday to face the charges.
