Melissa Leong 'plans to launch an international TV career' after being dumped from MasterChef Australia as her 'fanbase grows in the UK'
Melissa Leong's career has gone from strength to strength since she was dumped from MasterChef Australia last year.
According to a new report, the 42-year-old is now set for an international television career.
There have been 'murmurs' that she has 'attracted the attention of other international MasterChef formats including MasterChef Asia and MasterChef Singapore'. Herald Sun reported on Saturday.
The publication further claimed that Melissa has attracted a growing fan base in Britain, South Africa and New Zealand thanks to episodes of MasterChef Australia airing around the world.
The Channel Ten star, who has taken on a new role as a judge on Dessert Masters, hinted at big career moves in an Instagram post posted in December.

The food critic was fired from MasterChef Australia last year amid rumors of a feud between herself and fellow judges Andy Allen and the late Jock Zonfrillo, which she has denied.
She then presented the MasterChef spin-off series Dessert Masters alongside Amaury Guichon, who is billed as the world's most popular pastry chef.
Her excitement was palpable when she recently spoke to Daily Mail Australia about her new hosting gig on Dessert Masters, describing it as a 'dream come true'.

Melissa is also working on her upcoming SBS documentary series The Hospital: In The Deep End.
Additionally, she announced earlier this month that she would be hosting UFC Fight Week on Kayo Sports and Foxtel.
Melissa is also one of the names in the running to replace Better Homes and Gardens star Ed Halmagyi after it was announced he would be leaving the show.
