Microsoft wants to simplify all Windows updates, and it can make it easier for everyone

Microsoft plans Windows 11 Treat all software updates via the Windows Update system yourself, or that seems to be the idea for the future.
The rack spotted A Microsoft Blog post That outlined a vision of the “Unified Future for app -updates about Windows”, as written by product manager Angie Chen.
Although this is a message on the IT Pro Blog, and as such it is aimed at IT managers and organizations, because Microsoft is progressing in this direction, there is no reason why consumers do not benefit from this either.
This is certainly the plan, even if it is not mentioned explicitly, because the mail announces that a private review of the new system is now starting, with which each app developer can join to prepare its software for Microsoft’s Brave New World or updates.
As it looks now, Windows Update offers relevant updates for the operating system Self (natural) and related frameworks, as well as drivers sometimes. When it comes to individual apps – or Suites of Software – you are dependent on the developer to deliver them through their own mechanisms.
Microsoft wants to change this by introducing a “Windows-Native update orchestration platform” with which each app developer can be used from Windows Update to deliver patches for their software in addition to their software Regular Windows 11 -Updates.
As Microsoft explains, there are several advantages to work in this way, not least that it keeps things simple and streamlined to get all your updates from one source.
In addition, you can view a history of all updates on your entire PC via the update history in the Windows 11 Settings app. In addition, developers can use the powers of the operating system in terms of determining the application of updates, such as obeying the time windows of the user or admin for updating for example.
Analysis: a sensible way forward
All this is logical, and the convenience of combining all updates under one hub managed by Windows itself is definitely a step forward.
With updates that depend on the delivery methods of individual software developers, it can be easy to fall on the back, especially if the update mechanism is tucked away somewhere and does not happen automatically. Or indeed, if you have not performed a piece of software for centuries, it can hang in the background in a miserable not -polished state.
With Windows Update that uses all this, you would consistently be on top of your software updates, at least in theory. That said, cynics can quickly jump off the reliability of Windows Update.
Failed installations of updates are not exactly unusual and are reported with some regularity. However, do not forget that these are updates for Windows 11 itself – more complex, knotty os -upgrades – and it is unlikely that small app updates will undergo such wrinkles. And whether or not they will or will not be up to a large extent to the developers.
It is worth noting that you will receive updates that are automatically transmitted to Windows apps with software installed via the Microsoft StoreBut of course far from every developer wants to use that store.

However, there can still be a catch here, namely that it is up to software developers to use the new Microsoft platform. And nothing forces them to connect to the system, so will they worry?
That is the question of several millions of dollars, but from my perspective it all seems a wise enough idea. Although this can be a plan that is initially aimed at the business world, I can ultimately provide a broader step for this model of Windows updates for all kinds of app developers. And the more the leap makes, others can be persuaded to follow …
