Rugby king Mike Tindall saw his wealth rise to almost £1 million after his appearance on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Figures from his company Kimble Trading Limited show that the company’s reserves more than doubled from £440,000 to £930,000 in the time covered by the exchange.

The return is the best performance for the company in years and follows his successful stint on the ITV celebrity show, where he finished fourth and impressed fans with his down-to-earth character and hilarious royal anecdotes.

Kimble Trading had assets of £1.3m but owed creditors £439,000, including £101,000 to HMRC, but still had a very healthy balance.

The figures cover the 12 months to the end of March this year and cover the time of his appearance on the ITV show last year.

Mike, 45, married to Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Phillips, was praised for his down-to-earth nature and calmness, as well as his stories about the royal family.

In one, he recalled ripping his pants while performing a “slut drop” dance move for the queen to reveal his underpants and saying, “nibble my nuts.”

He said the queen took one look and said, “I’d rather not.”

In another, he revealed that he and Zara bonded over an alcohol-fueled lunch on their first real date.

He said: “It was quite a drunken affair in the end. Then we discovered that we both enjoy being spanked. It was a good start.”

The company was criticized two years ago when it emerged that it had applied for leave during the lockdown.

Mike recently opened up about his life after rugby and his relationship with his royal wife in new ITV reality show Grand Slammers.

The husband of King Charles’ niece Zara and former rugby international, 44, appears in tonight’s two-part program alongside his former teammates including Jonny Wilkinson, Lawrence Dallaglio and Phil Vickery.

Along with other players from the 2003 World Cup winning England rugby team, Mike enters HMP The Mount prison and attempts to build and train a team of inmates strong enough to compete against a formidable rival, the Australians .

In an excerpt from the programme, the former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here contestant discusses how he searched for his place after retiring from rugby in 2014.

He says: ‘Everyone thinks that just by marrying Zara it’s all fine… But that doesn’t change the fact that you need a job.

‘And it’s not that simple, you know – you get quite institutionalized in rugby, it’s a way of life and you leave the game and that’s not there.

‘I don’t think you can ever describe when you are so used to dealing with so many people, and showing understanding, because it is deeply ingrained in you, where you fit in, even though you are not that person.

“Zara would say that if she was honest, it probably took me a year to figure out what I was, who I was going to be. You then have to figure out where the next path is; you can never replace going to work every day with 35 of your closest friends.”

Mike seems to have built a career for himself on the small screen, alongside a successful rugby-themed podcast.

He has appeared on I’m A Celeb and also in a number of advertising campaigns, including for Domino’s and Amazon.
