Kansas City Chiefs fans tackle the parade 'shooter' and hold him until police arrive in dramatic video: “We got the gun!”

Brave Kansas City Chiefs fans tackled one of the suspected gunmen as he tried to flee police during the deadly Super Bowl Parade shooting, video shows.

Two gunmen opened fire in Union Station shortly after 3:30 p.m., seconds after the team, including Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, left the stage.

Video posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, shows one of the suspected gunmen running through the crowd.

A group of brave fans dressed in Chiefs gear were able to tackle and restrain the suspect while the rest of the crowd fled to safety.

As several people hold the suspect, others call for police help, shouting “we have the gun.” Officers arrive at the group and are able to arrest the suspect.

At least ten people were shot and one killed in the shooting that led to chaotic scenes during the celebration.

Police evacuated the train station as large crowds fled in panic after the shots rang out. Up to a million people were expected to descend on Kansas City for the parade.

The two gunmen were arrested, although their identities and motive remain unclear.

Reports indicate that during the tragic celebration, several children were also shot and rushed to nearby Children's Mercy Hospital.

A man in a red hoodie was pictured being arrested, although it is unclear if he was one of those involved in the shooting.

Fans were seen leaving the scene, while several people were wheeled away in stretchers.

Player Drue Tranquill said shortly after the shooting on X: “Please join me in praying for all the victims of this horrific act.

“Pray that doctors and first responders will have steady hands and that everyone will experience complete healing.”

After their victory parade descended into chaos, Chiefs Vice President of Sports Medicine and Performance Rick Burkholder confirmed that Reid and his family, including wife Tammy, were safe and on their way to the team's Arrowhead location.

Witnesses described terrifying scenes as the family event turned into nightmarish scenes.

Gabe Wallace, a sophomore at local Shawnee Mission East, told the Kansas City Star that he was quickly separated from his friends as the massacre unfolded.

He said his only thoughts were “my friends are dead,” and said coach Andy Reid comforted him.
