This is the terrifying moment a sex predator stalks a schoolgirl before attacking her in broad daylight and then flees after being chased by her father.

CCTV footage shows Irtiza Abbas following a 15-year-old in the north Birmingham in April.

Abbas, 25, followed her closely down a street and looked around to make sure he was alone before attacking her.

The terrified teenager bravely called her father who was driving nearby. He picked up his daughter and they drove through the area looking for Abbas.

They spotted the 25-year-old and the father attempted to arrest him, but after a struggle he escaped and fled the scene.

He was jailed for two years last Friday, but police fear he may have attacked other women and girls who did not come forward.

Detective Inspector Joe Davenport said: ‘We are satisfied that, due to the nature of the offences, Abbas may have committed further offences.

‘CCTV has shown him hanging out on the streets and carefully selecting his victims.

“He would follow them to make sure they were alone before he struck.

‘Although he has pleaded guilty to two offences, there is a real timeline and we have very strong suspicions that he has offended again and again.

‘Thanks to the support of the victims and their courage and the efforts of our teams to track down every piece of CCTV we could, we managed to arrest a serial offender and a potentially dangerous man, whose offenses were deliberate, methodical and repeated , from the streets of Birmingham.

‘If anyone feels that something similar has happened to them and they have not come forward before, we would ask them to think again.

“Reach out to me or someone from my team and we promise we’ll take your account seriously.”
