But instead of spending money on buying new ones, she decided to try and resurrect the ones she had.

Andrea wrote in the Mrs Hinch Army Cleaning Tips group on Facebook: “I only used Magnum washing up liquid from Aldi and it worked much better than using Vanish Gold.”

The dish soap also removed a tomato ketchup stain from her daughter’s white Nike top.

“All I can say is amazing results,” she concluded.

Andrea also shared photos of her pillows before and after, going from yellow to dazzling white.

People in the comments section were quick to ask her how she used the product to remove the stains.

And Andrea replied: “I just put a little drop in the wash, washed at 40 degrees and that was it.

“This stuff is brilliant!”

The Magnum washing up liquid is also available in a Premium range for 79p.

My trick will make a dramatic difference in making your home look expensive on a budget – never buy throw pillows again

And that option performed best in a test with 13 different detergents from consumer group Which? back in 2014.

The Magnum Premium received an overall score of 89%, with customers also pointing out that it offers great value for money.

Fairy Platinum was a close second, with a score of 88%.

However, Fairy Platinum is a lot more expensive at £2.75 per bottle.

The research also showed that Aldi’s Magnum Premium washes almost three times as many plates per euro spent: 2,350 plates per 100 ml.

Meanwhile, Aldi shoppers – many of whom had been lifelong fans of Fairy – admitted that the Magnum washing up liquid had changed their minds and reduced the cost of their weekly shopping.

“I tried this recently, as I have always bought Fairy, and I definitely won’t be going back to Fairy again,” one person wrote on the Aldi UK Shoppers Facebook group.

“Magnum is so much better than the famous one,” added another.

While someone else raved about the apple version of the product, writing: “I love the apple version, you’re right, it really lasts all the dishes!”
