However, she insisted on a video on her TikTok page that it’s becoming more normal for children to have unique names, so she doesn’t think this will cause any problems for her son as he gets older.

“We gave our fifth son a very unusual name,” she said.

“It’s really unusual here in Britain. I have never met another child with the same name.

“When we named him we had a few comments about how different his name is and some people even said he might be bullied for it in the future.

“And honestly, I don’t think that will ever happen. Today’s kids just don’t care.

‘Not really. It’s a different generation. Absolutely.

“I can tell you that there are so many unusual names of my children going to school that I came across in kindergarten that nowadays everyone has unusual names everywhere, so that no name is unusual.

“The way naming trends are evolving, things are going to become more and more unusual.”

She went on to say that she has never met a child who doesn’t fit their name, adding that her son fits his nickname Leaf Ocean perfectly.

“He’s a gentle soul and an absolute nature explorer, so I think his name really suits him,” Rachael said.

“We live by the sea, and during pregnancy I spent a lot of time at the ocean.

“I found it very soothing for my pregnancy, and it just felt like that came with his name.”

All five of her sons have unique names, while her other sons are named Jaxon, Noah, Cole and Bodhi.

Each nickname is inspired by films and TV shows, with Rachael responding to a comment to reveal that Leaf’s was inspired by the name of one of River Phoenix’s siblings.

“I don’t think your child is being bullied today because of his name,” she concluded.

“And I think you have to have kids of a certain age to agree with me.”

People were quick to comment on the video, with many disagreeing with Rachael’s mentality.

“Give me strength,” someone sighed.

“I feel like parents forget that their children grow up and have to live with these names!” another added.

“Did you name your son Leaf?” a third wondered.

“That would have been refused in Scotland, it’s absolutely ridiculous!”

“Please wake up love,” someone else wrote.

“He will eventually be bullied because of his name.”

“’Kids these days just don’t care.’ Have you met a teenager recently?” another commented.

“He’s going to be SEVERELY bullied in high school for that. I hope it was worth it!”

“It’s only when they get older that there are comments about names. Children are not as accommodating as you would like,” someone else said.

But others defended Rachael, with one writing: “Individuality is amazing!”

“I love your son’s name, it’s beautiful,” another added.

“We were at soft play recently and there were kids called Sparrow, cloudy and stormy,” said a third.

“Not names I would personally choose, but still pretty cool!”
