The product description on New Look's website describes the bag as having “a classic leather look color scheme and finish”, making the bag “perfect for every day”.

The stylish bag also has an adjustable strap and a snap closure at the front.

Impressively, the dupe has a 4.5-star rating online, with satisfied shoppers raving about their purchase.

One wrote: “Great size! Adjustable strap is really useful!”

However, one customer did comment on the smell of the bag, saying: “The bag itself is really lovely, just what I wanted.

“But when I opened the order, the bag itself smelled the most disgusting plastic smell, and the paper filling had the same strong smell.

“Unfortunately I needed the bag for the next day and I sprayed it several times with a fabric freshener. I can still smell the plastic smell.
