Nigel Farage, Angela Rayner And Penny Mordaunt will face a potentially explosive election debate on Friday evening.

The BBC has confirmed that the Brexit champion, deputy leader of Labor and Tory The minister will be one of seven senior figures taking part.

The debate will be moderated by Today programme’s presenter Mishal Husain, who will invite members of the public to ask questions of the politicians.

Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey has handed over duties to his deputy Daisy Cooper.

The SNP’s Stephen Flynn, the Green Party’s Carla Denyer and Plaid Cymru’s Rhun ap Iorwerth will also be on stage.

At the end of the debate, each of the participants is invited to make a 30-second closing statement. The order of the stages and the final statements will be determined by drawing lots.
