Switch owners are clearing Argos shelves with a 'bargain' deal that comes with free play
GAMERS are rushing to Argos after discovering an 'amazing bargain' that sees a game essentially free to play.
Consumers have noticed that you can add any of the three titles to your cart at no additional cost when you purchase a pair of Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers.
In November, the Japanese gaming giant announced that more than 132 million Switch devices have been sold worldwide, making it the company's best-selling home console ever.
The Switch was first released in 2017.
So if you've had yours for a few years, a new set of Joy-Cons might come in handy before the battery life diminishes.
They cost £59.99 at Argos as part of this offer, which is the usual price you'll find at most other retailers.
“This is a great bargain,” wrote one user on HotUKDeals.
“I needed replacement controllers so the extra game was a bonus,” said another.
A third commented: “Great price on Metroid, excellent game.”

Metroid anxiety
Metroid Dread is an action-adventure game released in 2021.
You play the role of a bounty hunter named Samus Aran, who tries to escape a deadly alien world plagued by a mechanical threat.
Bayonette 3
Bayonetta 3 is a 2022 action-adventure hack and slash title, eight years after the last award-winning game.
You return as the titular angel-hunting witch who now faces man-made bioweapons called Homunculi, as well as an enemy called the Singularity that threatens to destroy the multiverse.
Everyone 1-2 switch!
Everyone 1-2 switch! is a party video game released in 2023 that challenges players with a series of mini-games.
Up to eight people can participate using the Joy-Cons with crazy moves, or up to 100 with activity and trivia-based tasks on smartphones.
The most expensive of the bunch is Metroid Dread, which normally costs €37.99.
Bayonetta 3 normally retails for £29.99, while Everybody 1-2-Switch! currently costs €19.99.
However, stock of the games is running out quickly, so you should check if there are any games available to collect from your local Argos store.
