An Oklahoma woman has been charged with murder after allegedly giving her dementia-stricken mother a loaded gun just before shooting herself.

Prosecutors say Jaye Dee Watts, 44, pushed her 72-year-old mother Lynda Watts to suicide in September in Jones, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) northwest of Oklahoma City.

Watts is said to have ‘deliberately’ given the gun to Lynda and suggested she commit suicide, saying: ‘Do what you want with it, b****.’ according to court documents seen by KOCO.

The duo’s ring security camera captured footage of the dramatic moments leading up to Lynda’s suicide, according to court documents.

Watts, her mother’s primary caregiver, was seen on video verbally abusing Lynda as she helped her get into bed, calling her a “toddler” and ordering her to “take your pill or put it in and die officials said. .

She threatened to lock Lynda in her bedroom before leaving the room and returning with a power drill and the loaded gun, prosecutors said.

Watts then allegedly showed her mother how to remove the gun from its holster and threw it on her bed.

Lynda then shot herself twice.

Court documents show Watts admitted to investigators that she gave her mother the gun.

After a warrant was issued for her arrest, Watts turned herself in and was booked into jail in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

While awaiting trial, she was released from prison for $1 million.

Investigators said Watts told them, “It sucks being a caregiver 24/7.”

It’s unclear if Watts had any other close relatives in the photo, but her father Jay David Watts, who she was likely named after, died in 2011 at the age of 58.

According to Watts’ now-deleted social media, she worked for T&J couture, which is registered online as a “domestic limited liability company” based in Jones, Oklahoma.
