Olivia Newton-John’s widow John Easterling is selling the California ranch where the late star spent her final days.

The Australian music icon died on August 8, 2022 at the age of 73 at her home in Santa Ynez, after a two-decade battle with breast cancer.

The four-bedroom, five-bathroom home was purchased by Olivia in 2015 for US$4.69 million (approximately AU$6.7 million).

Built in 1975, the property occupies 12 acres near the Santa Ynez River and features a guest house, a swimming pool and a barn and stables for horses.

Easterling has decided to sell the house for an asking price of $8.965 million (about AU$13.57 million), reports People.

“Olivia and I have made many wonderful memories at our home in Florida and on the ranch in California. The message that comes across so clearly is: love life, live life and never forget the good things that happen,” Easterling told the publication.

“The ‘Indian Way’ Ranch in Santa Ynez is a spectacular property where I can see a new family having great wildlife adventures and enjoying the life experience,” he added.

The mention in front of the house it says: ‘This 40-acre private estate was built to the highest level of quality and refinement, located on one of the rare parcels of land on the Santa Ynez River.’

The main house on the property has a total of four bedrooms and five bathrooms, while the guesthouse has two bedrooms.

The property, about 125 miles northwest of Los Angeles, also features an outdoor kitchen, office, game room and detached four-car garage.

Olivia put her beloved ranch up for sale in 2019 for $5.4 million (about AU$7.7 million).

But the property was eventually taken off the market when the entertainer decided to spend her final days in the house.

Olivia has fought several brave battles against cancer.

She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, which was successfully treated.

She went into remission but later returned in both 2013 and 2017.

Olivia’s death resulted in an outpouring of public grief and heartfelt tributes from those closest to her, including Grease co-star John Travolta and Victorian Prime Minister Dan Andrews, who offered a state funeral in her honour.
