Delhi News: A group of masked men allegedly threw petrol bombs at a house and also fired aerial rounds in Delhi's Adarsh ​​Nagar area on Thursday evening. The brutal attack by the four young men, whose faces were covered with handkerchiefs, was captured on CCTV cameras in the area and the footage went viral after surfacing on social media sites.

According to police, one person – a minor – has been arrested in connection with the daring late-night attack on a house in northwest Delhi's Adarsh ​​Nagar area.

The viral footage shows a group of four youths with their faces covered throwing petrol bombs at a house and running away.

One of the attackers also opened fire with a handgun, firing several bullets into the air before fleeing the scene, the video shows.

After the images emerged on social media, users expressed their disgust over the deteriorating law and order situation in the national capital.

“Miscreants have no fear of law in Delhi,” one user wrote while sharing the video of the attack.

“This has become a daily routine in Delhi, criminals simply do not fear the police,” another noted, pointing the finger at the effectiveness of the Delhi Police in curbing hooliganism in the capital.

According to officials, the owner of the home told police he had a dispute with a group of people who carried out the attack. None of his family members were injured, police said.

A police officer said the Kishan – the homeowner – had a dispute with a group that already has a criminal record.

A case under sections 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 436 (mischief by fire or explosive substances with intent to destroy house) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC has been registered at Adarsh ​​Nagar police station and further investigation is underway, the officer added.
