The whole of Pakistan is confused about what is going on in the general elections taking place on Thursday. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan-backed Latif Khosa party has secured victory against Talha Saeed, son of UN-banned terrorist Muhammad Hafiz Saeed, from NA 122 seat in Lahore.
While on one hand Litif Khosa got 117,109 votes while Talha Saeed got only 2024 votes. And Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Saad Rafique also got 77907 votes
Notably, Muhammad Hafiz Saeed, a UN-banned terrorist, is the founder of the Lashkar-e-Taiba terror clan. He was the mastermind behind the deadly 26/11 attacks in Mumbai and is wanted in numerous cases in India.
Citing preliminary results from Pakistan's Election Commission, the daily said independent candidates backed by jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan's party had won nine seats.
Khan was disqualified from running in the elections due to criminal convictions, and his supporters fought as independent candidates. Meanwhile, the Pakistan People's Party, or PPP, has emerged victorious with eleven seats
