In the video shared on the official handle of the Pakistan Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is seen getting out of his official car and being met by a female officer who escorts him with an umbrella amid a heavy rainstorm in the French city .

However, in a bizarre gesture, Shehbaz Sharif is seen grabbing the umbrella from her hands and walking forward to the summit entrance, leaving the officer drenched in the rain as she walks behind the Pakistani Prime Minister.

Sharif then enters the prime location where French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna greets him.

Shehbaz Sharif’s peculiar act has sparked outrage among netizens who made fun of the prime minister for exposing the woman to the rain and taking the umbrella from her hands. “What an embarrassment. Take the lady’s umbrella and soak it in the rain? No more shame, this is the leader Patwaris wants,” one user wrote on Twitter.
