Panasonic has introduced the Let’s Note SC, a 12.4-inch notebook that is designed for business users, with a focus on portability, long battery life and improvements of usability.
According to Mynavi (originally reported in Japanese), the device has a 12.4-inch LCD display with an aspect ratio of 3: 2 and a resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels.
The screen opens up to 180 degrees without touching the surface underneath, helped by a hinge design that keeps it somewhat raised.
Weighs less than a kilo and still has Ethernet and HDMI
The chassis has a pressure-resistant bonnet structure and has been tested to meet MIL standards.
Panasonic emphasizes the durability of the notebook, including resistance to both impact and vibrations.
Available in calm gray and black, the SC is powered by Intel‘S Core Ultra Series 2 processors, or the Ultra 7 255H or Ultra 5 255U, depending on the configuration.
Panasonic claims that the notebook 919G weighs, although an independently tested unit is said to have arrived at 901G, where the SC was placed between the SC Lightest laptops In his class.
The device contains a 56Wh removable battery, now attached with screws instead of the toolless sliding lock that is used in earlier models. Although this improves structural integrity, field maintenance can make less useful.
The battery performance is rated up to 12.7 hours of video play and approximately 34.6 hours inactivity, according to Jeita 3.0 standards. When using Real-World, a load of 50% was left behind after 90+ minutes of light use and a video call of 30 minutes.
The keyboard retains a Japanese layout but introduces a remarkable change: the CTRL key is now on the far left, after he has exchanged positions with the FN key. Users can return to the previous configuration via BIOS settings.
The on / off button, now behind the keyboard, is less sensitive to casual pressing and also functions as a fingerprint sensor.
The SC also includes a round touchpad, larger than in earlier models and borrowed from the 14-inch FC line. Although still unconventional, this circular design remains a distinctive function of the series.
Connectivity includes a Gigabit Ethernet Lan -Poort, a rare recording in modern laptops and possibly attractive for those looking for robust Mobile Workstation possibilities.
However, the D-sub and SD card slots have been removed, which reflects the user’s trends in the direction of HDMI and reflected improved standards for data security.
Most ports, including USB Type-A, Double Thunderbolt 4-compatible USB Type-C and HDMI, are now positioned on the left, which reduces cable drum when using a mouse.
The starting price is approximately 295,000 yen (around $ 1,880), with the general turnover expected on 20 June.
