A HILARIOUS video reveals children's uncensored thoughts on different foods, in the style of famous TV judges – with a surprise appearance from Ashley Banjo.
A number of food products – from pomegranate seeds to Brussels sprouts – received the attention of the TV jury, with impersonators such as mini-Simon Cowell and Nicole Scherzingers.
And their reactions did not disappoint, as their faces spoke as much as their words.
Their verdict was not lived up to, however, when Banjo, the real deal and Dancing on Ice judge, stepped in to put a yogurt drink to the taste test.
It comes after research among 700 parents of children aged three to nine, commissioned by Petits Filous to launch its Vitamin Rich range, found that two-thirds of children are more decisive and adventurous than ever when it comes to their food choices.
And 74 percent are eager to try new foods unchallenged, with little or no fear.
While four in 10 say their children are being offered far more exotic foods than ever before, 63 percent let their kids make the decisions when it comes to what they eat for dinner.
Ashley Banjo said: “Kids have so many more varied food options than we ever had as kids, and I think that's reflected in these results.
“Now it's easier than ever to make sure your child gets what he or she needs. My kids certainly know their own minds, but I think it's important that they are still encouraged to try new things.”
Of children who are curious eaters, 59 percent choose fruits and vegetables as part of their meal or snack.
Brussels sprouts, olives and mussels were mentioned by their parents as foods that children enjoyed consuming without causing a fuss.
Mothers and fathers attribute their child's adventurous nature with food to the fact that there is more choice in supermarkets today, food from around the world is more readily available and parents are approaching their children's diet differently .
It also turned out that three-quarters of parents think it is important to let their young ones make their own decisions when it comes to the food they consume.
Helping them understand that they can make their own choices, building their self-confidence and giving them some control were the main reasons for this.
But while the research found that children generally do well with their fresh fruit and vegetables, 34 per cent still experience fuss, while 37 per cent of parents mix vegetables into their dinner.
Despite these problems, 36 percent are confident that their child is getting enough good from what they consume.
Nicole Gommans from Petits Filous says: “It's amazing to see how children have become more adventurous with their food choices. That's why we created Vitamin Rich, the only children's yoghurt drink with fruit and vegetables.
“It has been approved by our Tiny Judges and will be a hit with small time crooks across the UK.”
