Shocking moment bloodthirsty pit bull savages shih tzu and its screaming female owner as they walked down quiet street, leaving both with serious injuries
A dog owner has shared shocking footage of the moment her Shih Tzu was destroyed by a bloodthirsty pit bull.
Donna Cote was walking her dog Max when the animal charged at him on May 16.
The terrified owner quickly picked him up, but it wasn’t enough to stop the vicious dog from attacking.
She was behind her home in the Ontario city of Greater Sudbury when the horrors unfolded.
“I saw a girl coming down the street with a pit bull on a leash that looked like a rope and I saw that she clearly had no control over the dog,” Cote told CTV.

Chilling footage shows the moment the pit bull charges at her and Max.
Cote picks him up, but the dog lunges at him, snapping its jaws and biting her arm.
She lets out a bloodcurdling scream and drops Max, who whimpers as the pit bull sinks its teeth into it.
“My dog fell and grabbed my dog by the neck until the dog went unconscious,” she explained, struggling to contain her emotion.
Cote was left with horrific bruises and bite marks on her arm after the incident.
Fortunately, Max survived the ordeal, but the pit bull and his owner are still at large.
“I’m angry that we don’t have good animal control. People don’t know how much danger they are in from dogs like these,” Cote added.

Meanwhile, another resident from the same area also reported that her 13-year-old rescue dog Brandi was attacked by an out-of-control dog just days later.
The owner described seeing a “large, powerful dog” across the street running toward her and clinging to her beagle shar pei mix.
She asked a police officer for help, but the perpetrator has not yet been found.
