PlayStation fans are devastated as games worth thousands disappear

PLAYSTATION fans are starting to notice some of their beloved games disappearing from their libraries.

Buying games digitally is the most common way people buy games. Research shows that up to 95% of games are purchased online.

Digital ownership has a number of advantages over physical games. They are faster to load and you don’t have to store the drives.

However, there is a major disadvantage: companies can revoke your access to games at any time.

This isn’t usually the case, but bugs and errors have caused people to temporarily lose access to their games.

PlayStation owners have reported games disappearing from their game libraries on PS5, PS4 and PS Vita.

More than 50 people participated Reddit to report that games are missing from their libraries.

While the games they downloaded to their consoles are safe, other games they purchased but didn’t download are missing.

The bug appears to be related to game licensing and players have been seeing the error message CE-117773-6.

People started noticing the bug a few months ago when players saw that the games they claimed through PS Plus were no longer available.

However, players are starting to report that games they purchased outside of PS Plus are also mysteriously missing.

The bug won’t affect the majority of players, but it’s important to note that if a game you purchased goes missing, this problem is not uncommon.

Sony has not commented on the issue at the time of writing, but when these types of issues have arisen in the past, Sony has usually resolved them.

People whose games are lost may have to wait a little longer before they can play again.
