PM Modi praises Sikh gurus on the occasion of ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ and says they have taught us to live for the glory of the country

Prime Minister Modi said, “Unless we respect our heritage, the world will not appreciate our heritage either. Now that we are proud of our heritage, the world’s perspective has also changed.” He said he was happy that India is coming out of the slavery mentality and that “today’s India has full confidence in its people, its capabilities and its inspiration.”

New Delhi: During an event organized on the occasion of ‘Veer Bal Diwas‘, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Sikh gurus have taught the countrymen the motivation to live for the pride and glory of the nation. He also said that the Sikh gurus served as an inspiration to develop the nation. Prime Minister Modi was speaking on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas’, which is organized to commemorate the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh’s two sons, according to a report by news agency IANS.

The Prime Minister said, “Today, the country remembers the immortal sacrifice of the brave Sahibzadas and takes inspiration from them. In the golden age of independence, a new chapter has begun in the form of Veer Bal Diwas.”

Country will be celebrated as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ on December 26, says PM Modi

He said that the country celebrated December 26 for the first time last year as ‘Spring Bal Diwas‘. “Then everyone across the country listened to the heroic stories of Sahibzadas with great emotion. Veer Bal Diwas symbolizes the determination to do everything to protect Indianness. This day reminds us that age does not matter at the height of courage,” he said.

He said that ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ is now being celebrated at the international level too. “Programs related to Veer Bal Diwas are also organized in Britain, Australia, New Zealand, UAE and Greece. The whole world will know about the brave Sahibzadas of India and learn from their great deeds,” he said. He also said, “The courage and ideals of Guru Gobind Singhji and his four Sahibzadas continue to inspire and energize the hearts of the people of India.

“So the Veer Bal Diwas is the country’s tribute to the unparalleled bravery of those real heroes and the wonderful mothers who gave birth to them.”

Prime Minister Modi calls for respect for heritage

“Sahibzadas’ sacrifice is a matter of national inspiration for contemporary India. In present-day India, the sacrifice of Lord Birsa Munda and the sacrifice of Guru Govind Singhji inspire the entire nation,” he said.

“We must live for the honor and glory of this land; we must live to make the country better. As children of this great nation, we must live, unite, struggle and emerge victorious to develop the country,” Prime Minister Modi said.

PM talks about India’s younger population

He also pointed out that today India is one of the countries in the world with the youngest population. “India was not that young even at the time of its freedom struggle. When that youth force brought independence to the country, it is unimaginable to what heights the current youth force can take India,” he said. He also said that the next 25 years will bring immense opportunities for the youth of India.

“India’s youth can be born in any region or society; their dreams are limitless. To make these dreams come true, the government has a clear roadmap, a clear vision and a clear policy, and there are no mistakes in its intentions,” he said.

“Being the third largest economy in the world means better healthcare, better education, more opportunities and more employment. It also means quality of life and quality of products! What will the developed India of 2047 be like? To paint this picture of Bharat on that big canvas, our youth must take the lead,” the Prime Minister emphasized

He also said that today the entire world considers ‘Bharat Bhoomi’ as the land of opportunities.

“Today, India is at a stage where India is playing a major role in solving major global challenges,” the Prime Minister said.
