POKÉMON made some big announcements during the recent Pokémon Presents, including new events for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
All three Kanto starters will appear in seven-star raids in the coming weeks, starting with the Mighty Venusaur.
Unlike other seven-star raids, Venusaur is available for an entire week from Wednesday February 28, 2024, until Tuesday March 5, 2024.
Here’s everything you need to know to defeat the Mighty Venusaur in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
Venusaur Stats, Nature, Move Set – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Venusaur sets Sunny Day and Growth at the start of each battle, and Growth will greatly boost both Attack and Special Attack in the sun.
It then uses Petal Blizzard before focusing on Ground, Poison, and Grass-type special attacks.
Venusaur will also set up Amnesia, meaning special attackers won’t be able to do much damage in this battle.
Here’s the full set of The Mighty Venusaur:
The mighty Venusaur – Level 100
- Nature – Modest
- Skill – Chlorophyll
- Item – No
- Tera type – Ground
- Move set – Sunny Day, Growth, Petal Storm, Amnesia, Sludge Bomb, Giga Drain, Earth Force
Best Venusaur Counters – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Gyarados’ type is the perfect counter to Venusaur’s attacks and is also a strong physical attacker.
You can change the weather with Rain Dance and use Muddy Water to lower the accuracy before Venusaur wipes away your stat boosts.
After this, you can take out your NPC teammates to get the Moxie Attack boost and restore some health with Shell Bell, or you can do Dragon Dance.
This is the set we recommend for Gyarados:
Gyarados – Level 100
- Nature – Carefully
- Skill – Moxie
- Item – Shellbel
- Tera type – Water
- Move set – Rain Dance, Dragon Dance, Muddy Water, Waterfall
