Princess Anne gave a friendly nod to King Charles with her choice of jewelry at the state banquet at Buckingham Palace last night.

The royal, 73, wore a cream Maureen Baker dress and Sue Palmer bolero for the event, which formally welcomed South Korea’s President and First Lady to Britain.

The mother-of-two teamed her elegant evening look with some of her favorite jewelry, including a bow-shaped diamond brooch.

The priceless brooch was a gift from her older brother on the occasion of the princess’s wedding to Captain Mark Phillips in 1973.

The piece features two long sparkling tassels and a cluster of diamonds surrounded by five ribbon loops.

King Charles is also said to have given Princess Anne and her first husband Mark Phillips two leather suitcases as a wedding gift.

Since then, the brooch has been worn by Princess Anne several times, including on a royal trip to Paris in 1980 and at the Queen’s Golden Jubilee dinner at Windsor Castle in 2002.

Over the years, Princess Anne has experimented with the placement of the brooch and chose to wear it on her sash at the event last night.

Earlier this year, Anne even lent the brooch to her daughter Zara Tindall to wear during King Charles’ coronation at Westminster Abbey.

Princess Anne and Mark Phillips married in 1973 when the royal was 22 years old before splitting in 1989.

Her second husband Timothy Laurence accompanied Princess Anne to the state banquet last night.

Additionally, Princess Anne also wore her Festoon necklace, which is believed to have been an 18th birthday gift from the Queen and Prince Philip.

To complete her ensemble, Anne wore her matching Festoon tiara – which she previously lent to her former daughter-in-law Autumn Phillips for her 2008 wedding.

During the state banquet in honor of the South Korean state visit, the palace ballroom was transformed with towering red, purple and blue seasonal flowers.

The cut crystal glasses on the top table had Queen Elizabeth’s code removed and King’s Charles added, as did much of the china.

The menu included: Warm tart with soft poached egg and spinach puree; Breast of Windsor Pheasant with Celeriac Croquette and Calvados Sauce; Salad; and mango ice cream bombe.

Wines include an English Camel Valley Special Reserve 2015; Montrachet 1er Cru Macharellen; Domaine François Carillon 2014; Château Mouton-Rothschild 1er Cru, Pauillac 1989; Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey; Sauternes 2001; Fonseca 1985.

At the start of the banquet, the king gave a speech full of Korean and references to K-pop culture, before an audience consisting of members of the world’s “biggest girl band.”

In his address to more than 300 attendees at the state banquet, including singers BLACKPINK, he welcomed them with a touch of Korean: “Yeong-gug-e osin geos-eul hwan-yeonghabnida [Welcome to Britain].’

Marking the 140th anniversary of Korea’s diplomatic relationship with Britain, the king described it as a “partnership in which close personal ties, nurtured over many decades, have today grown into a genuine sense of affection, or jeong , between our societies on so many levels’.

And he even joked about his own 1992 visit to the country with the late Princess Diana, saying, “Unfortunately, when I was in Seoul all those years ago, I’m not sure I developed much of what the Gangnam style could be called! ‘
