New Delhi: Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni are among the greatest cricketers in the world. They inspire people from the cricket fraternity as well as fans. Star Afghan cricketer Rahmanullah Gurbaz is also among those who have learned a lot from the former Indian skippers and consider them among the best cricketers.

In an exclusive chat with India.com, Rahmanullah Gurbaz talked about how he always interacts with Virat and Dhoni whenever he gets a chance, be it during a bilateral match, IPL or other tournaments.

He said: “We always think that this one word is learning from the best. It's a great opportunity to meet him and every time you ask him, you learn something from him. His life story is completely different and his cricketing journey so far has been amazing. So everyone, every player should ask him and learn something from him. Because if someone wants to be the best in the world, if someone wants to do something better for his country, if someone has a dream, he has to learn from everyone and from the best.”

“Every time I get a chance to know MS Bhai and Virat Bhai. I don't want to miss it. I always try to talk to them. I always try to ask them how to improve their cricket skills, how to improve their cricket life, how to manage everything. So what helped me a lot was that during the IPL, before that IPL, we were working in Dubai, and everywhere I tried to talk to them. Which helped me enormously. And I learned a lot from Virat and also from MS. I think they are the best, that's why I ask,” Gurbaz added.

Gurbaz is part of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise in the Indian Premier League and is often seen interacting with Dhoni and Kohli during KKR's IPL matches with CSK and RCB. He was also seen interacting extensively with Virat during the recently concluded T20I series between India and Afghanistan.

Currently, Gurbaz is playing for Dubai Capitals under the management of David Warner in the ongoing edition of the ILT20 2024. He is one of the most crucial members of Dubai. DUB is in fourth place on the points table with two wins in five matches. They would look to bounce back with some wins in the remainder of the tournament and qualify for the knockout stages.
