Rasmus Hojlund names dream man Utd five-a-side team with some major omissions

RASMUS HOJLUND left Wayne Rooney out of his all-time Manchester United five-a-side team.

Hojlund, 21, is enjoying a stunning new lease on life at United since breaking his Premier League scoring hoodoo against Aston Villa last month with five goals in his last five games.

The striker is finally meeting the Red Devils' demands, which he always knew were sky-high as he has been following the club since a young age.

Therefore, it wasn't difficult for the Denmark international to pick his best five-a-side team of all time, but it did come with a few surprising omissions.

It was no surprise that Hojlund chose Danish legend Peter Schmeichel as his target.

The centre-forward then opted for Rio Ferdinand in defence, but left out England great Nemanja Vidic's legendary partner as his choices were very limited.

The Dane closed with Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo, leaving out United's record goalscorer Rooney.

Hojlund said The United Position: “I have to put Peter in goal. Peter is Danish.

“Peter has won everything here. Peter is a legend here, but he is also a legend in Denmark because he won the European Championship for us.

“I have to put Rio there because he is very memorable for me. I would like to put Vidic there, but I can only have one defender.

“I want to put Ryan Giggs in, Paul Scholes and then Cristiano Ronaldo up front.”

Hojlund has scored a total of ten goals and two assists in 28 appearances for United this season.
