Real estate agent’s brutally honest ad after homeowners mysteriously leave house full of their belongings

Just when it seemed like the real estate market couldn’t get any worse, an agent listed a house that he admitted was the worst presented home he’s ever seen.

The house, located at 19 Ryland Rd, Kelmscott, in Perth‘s southeast, was described as “dirty” by O’Neil Real Estate residential sales consultant Ash Swarts.

Mr Swarts told potential buyers to just take a look at the Perth property because it couldn’t get any crazier.

‘Why is this even on the market? The current owners just up and left,” he said in the listing.

“Everything you see here is included in the sale, so you better be prepared to get your hands dirty, because you’re definitely going to get them dirty here.”

The ‘Kelmscott Conundrum’ can be viewed online with photographs showing room after room littered with old rubbish and furniture left there by the current owners.

“This is pretty awful,” Mr Swarts admitted in the online ad.

The house is advertised on the agent’s website as a fixer-upper, but “more of an extreme makeover waiting to happen.”

The four-bedroom home features a floor-to-ceiling ceiling that was “more on the floor than overhead” and was “perfect for those who appreciated an indoor view of the sky.”

The bathrooms feature surprising amenities, including a hookah carefully ‘left for your, er, recreational pleasure’, while the living room has a wealth of old furniture that would make perfect kindling for the fireplace.

The house was built in 1977 and is currently for sale in Perth’s south-east for under $500,000.

“Viewing is highly recommended,” the agent said.
