Former Real Housewives star Kelly Bensimon, 56, reveals the diet and workout routine she’s following to get into top shape for her June wedding – and why eating PINEAPPLE every night is the secret to her weight loss
Former Real Housewives of New York star Kelly Killoren Bensimon is about to walk down the aisle, but there’s a lot that goes into making sure the bride-to-be looks and feels her best on the big day.
Bensimon, 56, got engaged to financier Scott Litner last summer while they were on a luxurious Fourth of July getaway to a swanky retreat in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, near her hometown.
He proposed with a large five-carat, emerald-cut diamond ring that was custom made by New York City jeweler Material Good, according to E! News.
Now, almost a year later, Bensimon is getting ready for her dream wedding, which will take place this summer.
She has two special days, per People – first exchanging vows and ‘I Do’s’ in the backyard of his parents’ home, followed by a larger celebration in The Hamptons.

The model was previously married to famed photographer Gilles Bensimon from 1997 to 2007. They share two daughters, Sea Louise, 26, and Teddy Ann, 23.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, in which Bensimon called from the iconic Kleinfeld Bridal Fashion in New York City, where she spent the day trying on dresses, the model shared everything she does to shine from within.
Bensimon explained that she has always been a “really, really healthy” person and is consistent when it comes to her daily vitamin routine and other wellness habits.
She especially likes to drink turmeric, which has anti-inflammatory properties, and green tea.
“The seamstress told me I can’t have beer, no pasta and no ice cream,” Bensimon told DailyMail.com.
“So those wouldn’t be on my bridal body workout, or on the daily nutritional intake, but I’m preparing for the huge [wedding] cake. I’m very excited about that.’
However, there is one sweet treat that the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip star loves to indulge in, and that is pineapple.

For every cup of coffee she drinks, Bensimon also drinks a glass of water to balance things out
Not only does the fruit taste delicious, but Bensimon revealed that it also helps boost her metabolism.

The Douglas Elliman real estate agent also teaches dance cardio classes DanceBody for changing her body over the past year.
The workout, which has studio locations online as well as in New York City, The Hamptons, Miami and Los Angeles, combines dance cardio and sculpting in a 50-minute class.
“I mean, I’m a slim, tall person, but now I may or may not have a small butt,” Bensimon said.
“You know, the way I carry myself and my body is compact.”

And as the big day approaches, Bensimon is working on getting her bridal glow from the outside in.
She told DailyMail.com that she had been in New York City Dr. Nathan Newmana stem cell expert, and also Dr. Francesco Garganofor various skin treatments, such as the Secret Pro laser.
The Secret Pro is intended, among other things, to reduce wrinkles and fade age spots – and Bensimon has certainly noticed a difference.
But ultimately, the mother of two just wants to feel like the best version of herself when she walks down the aisle.
“I don’t want to be there and say, ‘Oh my God, I’m too thin or I won’t feel good,'” Bensimon explained.
“I’m so excited for this wedding,” the star continued. ‘I’m so excited about the whole process. I had so much fun at Kleinfeld and I really want to focus on being the best version of myself and I hope that comes across.”
She wants her future fellow brides to feel like the most beautiful version of themselves on their wedding day.
“This is your moment with your husband and I want you to really enjoy it,” Bensimon said.
“The rest will be taken care of,” she promised. “The food is taken care of, the people are taken care of, your friends and family are taken care of.
“I just really want you to appreciate the day and the union and have so much respect, and just enjoy yourself.”
