Robert Irwin reunites with girlfriend Rorie Buckey as he leaves Perth Airport with her extended family, including Heath Ledger’s mother

Robert Irwin celebrates his first festive season with new girlfriend Rorie Buckey by his side.

And it seems the Wildlife Warrior, 20, has been warmly welcomed into the Buckey clan as he was spotted holidaying with Rorie, 19, and her extended family last week.

The lovebirds were spotted checking in for a flight at Perth Airport last Wednesday, along with Rorie’s mother Kate Buckey – the sister of late Australian actor Heath Ledger.

Rorie’s father Nathan, her twin sister Scarlett, Heath Ledger’s mother Sally Bell and her husband Roger also joined the traveling party.

Robert was all smiles as he chatted with his in-laws at the departure terminal, wearing a casual green T-shirt, jeans and sneakers.

Sometimes Robert would take his lover aside for a light conversation before they boarded the plane.

Rorie looked chic in a black turtleneck, matching skinny jeans and sneakers.

The blonde beauty accessorized her look with a blue shoulder bag, pearl earrings and a dangling necklace.

Meanwhile, rumors recently emerged that Robert is preparing to pop the question very soon, even though the young couple has only been dating for about a year.

According to New idea magazine could introduce the media personality when Rorie visits him in Africa in the coming months while he films I’m A Celebrity.

“Everyone is convinced he wants to pop the question when they’re in Africa,” said an insider.

‘Robert is crazy about her and is planning something unforgettable when he formally asks her to marry him. They both know it’s part of their plans, so he’s come up with special ways to make it a surprise.”
