BEHIND-THE-SCENES footage of Roger Federer's farewell event will be shown for the first time.
The sporting icon – an eight-time Wimbledon champion – retired from tennis after appearing at a tear-jerking Laver Cup exhibition in London in September 2022.
Camera crews followed him around the O2 Arena during the final days of his illustrious career.
And this footage will be part of a feature-length documentary premiering on Prime Video this year.
It was originally intended as a home video that was never intended for public viewing.
But it must capture Federer at his most vulnerable and candid self as he said goodbye to the sport and its fans.
Rivals Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray – members of the tennis Big Four – also contributed interviews.
Oscar-winning director Asif Kapadia – who made films about Ayrton Senna, Diego Maradona and Amy Whitehouse – is the brains behind this documentary in his role as co-director and producer.
Swiss superstar Federer, 42, said: “Initially the intention was to record the last moments of my professional tennis career so that I could later show them to my family and friends.
“During my career, I tended to avoid cameras around me and my family, especially during important moments.

“But I didn't see any harm in photographing this because it was never intended for the public.
“However, we captured so many powerful moments and it has become a very personal journey.”
