Ind vs Eng: The third umpire also rejected it and at that point Rohit seemed to have lost his cool on the umpire.
Vizag: Just as Tom Hartley and Ben Foakes were looking to get things back on track in the second Test in Vizag on Monday, Ravichandran Ashwin had other plans. Ashwin hit Hartley, who tried to sweep the experienced spinner backwards. It seemed like it was coming out of control. The referee didn't call it out after a long appeal for being caught. After the umpire dismissed it, Rohit Sharma and Ashwin had an argument and went for the DRS for leg-before. The third umpire also dismissed it and at that point Rohit seemed to have lost his cool on the umpire.
Rohit had a long conversation with the umpire after the decision was against India. Here's how fans reacted to it.
Imagine forcing the referees even after their decision😭😭
I can't believe they're playing cricket #INDvENG pic.twitter.com/Y1tlyS4IqC— Hassan (@HassanAbbasian) February 5, 2024
Crazy that the TV referee needed UltraEdge to check if it came from his forearm. Even crazier that he then had to “rock & roll” it about 40 times. #INDvENG

Icc and icc Umpire always against India just looks like Hartley, it's clearly lbw out, but cleverly icc Umpire gives his catch just because the English bater survived. Hats off to icc and your rules

Meanwhile, Ashwin is still a wicket away from becoming the second Indian after Anil Kumble to pick up 500 Test wickets. It would be an incredible and well-deserved achievement for the veteran. He picked up the two important wickets of Ollie Pope and Joe Root in the second essay at Vizag.
In the first innings, it was Yashasvi Jaiswal who brought up his first double hundred in Test cricket to help India achieve a strong position in the second Test. Then it was Jasprit Bumrah who took six wickets to bowl out England for 253 and help India gain a 143-run lead.
