British comedian Russell Howard makes Robert Irwin cringe as he makes a foul-mouthed joke about The Project

Robert Irwin got more than he bargained for when he co-hosted The Project on Wednesday night.

During an interview with British comedian Russell Howard, the funnyman was asked where he gets his sense of humor.

It was a moment that made Irwin, 20, cringe and cover his face in shame.

“All the women in my life are funny, my grandma, my mom are amazing…” Howard began.

As the audience erupted into fits of laughter, co-host Harris jumped out of her seat and covered Irwin's ears with her hands, shouting, “Earmuffs!”

“You're corrupting him!” she shouted at Howard, before adding, “He's too sweet for this!”

Elsewhere in the episode, Robert Irwin shocked his co-stars by revealing the very surprising nickname he has for his girlfriend Rorie Buckey.

The reality star, 20, was discussing the Barbie movie when co-host Sarah Harris, 42, commented on the striking resemblance between Ryan Gosling's Robert and Ken.

She then shared a throwback photo of Robert and his girlfriend Rorie dressed as Barbie and Ken, and asked what inspired the photo.

“That's just how I assume, that's the new uniform policy at Australia Zoo. No, that was our Halloween costume,” he began.

Robert then shocked the panel by revealing the surprising nickname he has for Rorie.

Irwin also lambasted the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences after Margot Robbie failed to secure a Best Actress nomination for her leading role in Barbie.

The conservationist appeared on Australian talk show The Project on Wednesday and echoed Ryan Gosling's sentiment “there's no Ken without Barbie” after scoring a nod for best actor, while Robbie and director Greta Gerwig failed to make the cut, despite Barbie being the highest-grossing film of the series. 2023.

'That is ridiculous. Come on,” he started.

'[Director] Greta [Gerwig] and Margot made that movie,” he continued.

“That's why we have the Barbie movie, it's ridiculous.”

Robert then shocked the panel by revealing the surprising nickname he has for Rorie.

Co-host Waleed Aly, 45, then asked if Robert would renounce his US citizenship because of the injustice and was shocked by his answer.

“I guess it only makes sense,” Robert said.

Film fans were shocked after AMPAS announced its Oscar nominations and neither Margot Robbie nor director Greta Gerwig were nominated for their work on Barbie.

The omissions drew additional attention due to the fact that Ryan Gosling, 43, who played Ken, received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

While Margot isn't in the running for Best Lead Actress, the film itself is nominated for Best Picture, meaning she's actually nominated as a producer.

Margot has previously been nominated for two Oscars: Best Lead Actress for her 2017 film I, Tonya, a biopic about Tonya Harding, and Best Supporting Actress for the 2020 film Bombshell.
