There were two designs on display in silver and gold.

The Samsung Ring is the company’s latest effort in wearable technology aimed at health and fitness fanatics.

It is equipped with sensors to track things like sleep and breathing.

The ring also monitors sleep, including how much you move and how long it takes you to fall asleep.

Samsung first showed a glimpse of the device during the launch of the Galaxy S24 in January, but this is the first time it has been publicly seen in person.

Speak with CNBCHon Pak, head of the digital health team at Samsung Electronics, said the ring will calculate a “vitality score” for the wearer that “collects data on physical and mental preparedness to see how productive you can be.”

But the Korean tech giant is yet to reveal when the device will be released.

The company has also not announced what the price will be.

When the Ring is worn with a Galaxy smartwatch, users get various health data.

“Our own customers told us: I want choice,” Pak continued.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 has some great AI features

“I want to be able to have other forms of wearables to measure health.

“And some want to wear the watch, some want to wear the watch and the ring and benefit from both. Some just want more simplicity.”

But Samsung may have tough competition ahead from its biggest rival.

Recent reports claim that Apple is working on its own smart ring device.
