Sarah Ferguson reveals the late queen’s beloved corgis Muick and Sandy are ‘always looking for treats’ as she shares sweet photo of the puppies
The Duchess of York has shared an adorable update about the late Queen’s two Corgis.
Sarah Ferguson, 64, adored her Instagram page to share an adorable photo of the dogs she adopted after the Queen’s death in September 2022.
The mother-of-two, who lives at the Royal Lodge in Windsor with her ex-husband Prince Andrew, revealed the two puppies, named Muick and Sandy, were always on the hunt for treats.
In the photo, both pups sweetly posed under a concrete staircase as they stared longingly into the camera.
Royal fans gushed over the pups, with many praising the Duchess, who goes by Fergie, for posting the update. Meanwhile, some said their pleading puppy eyes were a sign they miss ‘Her Majesty’.

The Duchess also celebrated Thanksgiving with the two puppies, which she marked with a sweet holiday photo
She exclusively revealed that the two dogs were always on the hunt for treats, perhaps hinting that she took the duo on an outdoor treasure hunt
The Duchess, who recently revealed she had written a new children’s book due to be published next year, captioned the image: ‘Always begging for treats!’
Many fans applauded her for “taking good care of the Queen’s beloved pets.”
One fan wrote: ‘I see they miss Her Majesty. They deserve whatever treats you give and it’s nice that they are well taken care of.’
Echoing this sentiment, someone added, “And you certainly give them enough. They certainly couldn’t be in better hands.’
Another said: ‘Her Majesty looks down from heaven and smiles with gratitude.’
A fourth commented: ‘Thanks for posting their photo, nice to see them. Happy Holidays!’
Meanwhile, someone said, “Give them whatever their heart desires!”
It looks like the late monarch’s former daughter-in-law had a great time with her newly acquired pets.
Sarah also revealed that the dogs are recovering from their grief following the Queen’s death last year
The Duchess celebrated Thanksgiving with the two puppies, which she marked with a sweet holiday photo.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends! We enjoy the cool November weather.
‘It’s a perfect time to take a walk, have a cup of tea or maybe write something cozy, mysterious and new.
‘This author is sharpening her pen this fall and is grateful for all the little things. What are you thankful for this holiday season?’
Queen Elizabeth II owned more than 30 corgis during her reign and was known for her love of the breed.
The late monarch received the two dogs, Muick and Sandy, as a gift from the Duke of York and have now been adopted by her son and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
In early 2021, the Queen received two new puppies, a dorgi (a daschund-corgi mix) and a corgi, as gifts from Andrew while staying in Windsor during lockdown.

The puppies kept the monarch busy while the Duke of Edinburgh was in hospital – and Buckingham Palace and the royal family were dealing with the fallout from the Sussexes’ Oprah interview.
The Queen named the dorgi Fergus after her uncle – who was killed in the First World War, and the corgi Muick, pronounced Mick, after Loch Muick on the Balmoral estate.
But the monarch was devastated when five-month-old Fergus died just weeks later, in the aftermath of Philip’s death.
He was later replaced with a new corgi puppy, from Andrew and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie for her official 95th birthday, which the Queen named Sandy.
The news comes after Sarah announced she has written a new children’s book that will be published next year, and it seems one of the characters may have been inspired by her grandson.
The Duchess of York shared the exciting news on Instagram on Sunday with a Christmas bauble to promote the book Tale of Tails.
Sarah revealed that one of the characters in the book is named Augustus, who appears to be the two-year-old son of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.
One of the Queen’s last released photos, which showed her celebrating her anniversary in February, showed her continued love for her dogs
Eugenie, who also has an 11-month-old son, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, is Sarah’s youngest daughter.
Sharing a photo of the book on social media, Sarah wrote: ‘Well, hello Augustus. I’m so excited to introduce you to my new children’s book Tale of Tails, coming out next year with beautiful illustrations by Frank Endersby and baubles production by Sonya at CherishedGifts Co.
‘In the meantime, if you are still looking for a children’s holiday reading book, go to the link in my bio and find ‘Little Red Christmas’ under ‘books’. I hope everyone enjoys some extra time to read and rest.”
It seems that the character Augustus is a snail carrying a bunch of Christmas presents on a hillshell.
Other characters in the book include Lord & Lady Slugginton-Smythe, Harriette, Horace the Post Deliveryer, Mr Wingfield, Mr Carp, Hazel, Professor Wormington, Chompy, Dr. Ow, Dily & Dally, Dot & Doll and Willy.
The grandmother of three previously discussed how her grandchildren, Ernest, Augustus, and Princess Beatrice’s two-year-old daughter, Sienna Elizabeth, call her on the podcast Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah.
“I’m grandma number two – now number three!” Sarah says, correcting herself, adding that she was a “loving grandma,” GG. I’m GG, I love GG.’
Sarah is the author of several children’s books, including Ballerina Rosie; Tea for Ruby, illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser; and the Little Red series, as well as a memoir, Finding Sarah.
