Satyaprem Ki Katha Box Office Collection Day 4: The latest romantic comedy from Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani concluded its four-day extended weekend run in a decent way. The film collected in double digits on Sunday and closed its opening weekend collection at around Rs 38 crore nett (early estimates). The director of Samir Vidwans showed a big growth on the first Sunday, registering a good amount of Rs 12 crore nett (early estimates).

That reports the trade website healthy, Satyaprem Ki Katha showed an increase of about 44 percent in its collection on Saturday and an additional increase on Sunday, proving that good word of mouth worked in the film’s favor.

The film is appreciated for its intent and for having the heart in the right place. It stars Kartik as a simple young man from Gujarati who considers himself a ‘zero’ all his life but believes in honesty, relationships and marriage. Kiara plays the role of a young Gujarati girl who is fashionable, rich and also a survivor. The two meet and get married, but it’s a one-sided love for the longest time until their marriage takes a turn for the worse.

Satyaprem Ki Katha widely appreciated because it sensitively addresses an important social issue. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film marks Kartik-Kiara’s second successful collaboration after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 last year. Meanwhile, the other two releases that hit the screens last weekend on the occasion of Eid – Go through Jatta 3And Spy – have also been doing well. Both films have done good business in their respective markets and it will now be interesting to see how the weekdays treat them all.
