Die-hard Scots fans ‘lucky’ after losing luggage on flight to Euros leaving them stuck in kilts for two weeks

Two die-hard Scotland fans have worn their kilts for two weeks Germany after their suitcases disappeared.

He continued: ‘We’ve been looking like this for three days now and if we don’t get our bags it’ll be at least two weeks in our kilts. If they don’t show up, you’ll see us sitting in a bar with a big empty space around us because of the smell.

“But we’re just lucky we were wearing the perfect outfits before the suitcases disappeared, and our kilts weren’t in the bag!”

Billy, a retired councilor, and Bob, who worked in a hospital before retiring, did not let the loss of business dampen their spirits. Bob added: ‘The weather and atmosphere were great. We also have tickets for all the matches, so we can’t wait.

“It’s been a long time coming to go to a tournament abroad, so it’s a great feeling. I think we’ll get through the group stage and who knows how far we can go after that.

‘We were supposed to go home after Stuttgart, but if we get through, we’ll cancel our flight. If that means you have to stay in these outfits for another week, then so be it. Three weeks in the same clothes, what more could you want?’

As the two friends posed in their full kilts and sporrans – with their caps and dozens of insignias from all the countries around the world they have followed the Tartan Army pinned to them – they were joined by tourists desperate to have their photo taken with the couple.
