Dubai: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan was recently featured on the platform on Wednesday during the World Government Summit 2024 in Dubai. During his interaction at the summit, the Dunki actor not only shared the ups and downs of his career in the film industry but also got the conversation started when he added that he would love to play the role of legendary actor James Bond . soon came with the tantrum that he would rather not have the James Bond which many were looking forward to. Although Shah Rukh added that he would love to play the role of a 'Bond villain'. Here's what SRK shared at the summit.

While participating in the session titled 'The Making Of A Star: A Conversation With Shah Rukh Khan.' The Jawaan actor spoke sarcastically about 'not being a legend'. When asked about his identity, he replied: “My name is James Bond.” When asked if he was interested in portraying the character of Bond, Shah Rukh replied: “I really wanted to, but I think I'm too small… But I'm brown enough to be the villain of Bond ( sic) to play.”

No one has offered me good work in Hollywood, says SRK

As the conversation continued at the summit, SRK was asked about the 33 years he had spent his time in the film industry as a star in Bollywood, and whether he had ever thought of crossing over to Hollywood. Based on Gulfnews.com, SRK stated: “I know a lot of people from the American and English film industries. But no one offered me good work and I wondered if I was spreading myself too thin. I was offered Slumdog Millionaire but I felt the game show host role was too mean (sic).

However, when Shah Rukh refused to play the role of an anchor in the film, it was later offered to Anil Kapoor. For the unversed, the film won nine out of ten Oscar awards at the 2009 Oscars.

SRK was last seen in the film Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The film was a box office hit in the film industry. The film was released along with Salaar, which is in a tough battle with RajKumar's direction. The film also starred Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal and Anil Grover in lead roles.
