Aryan Strauss posted a cautionary tale, advising her followers to never eat in a group without discussing the budget beforehand.

In a viral TikTok post, the woman explained that her successful model boyfriend invited her to a birthday dinner where she didn't know anyone else.

Some attendees seemed to be having a good time, with one woman showing off her expensive new breast implants.

Despite her precarious financial situation, the smart mother provided enough money for herself and the birthday girl and bought a discount coupon for the Brazilian-style steakhouse.

She and her friend then ordered a £20 main course each, but Strauss then complained about her meal and had it taken away. the bill.

She said: “I ordered a piece of filet Mignon that was so fatty, it was gross.

“My friend called the manager while I rinsed my mouth in the bathroom.”

“I order water and not dessert,” the TikToker continued, estimating that the waiter would only charge her £20 for her friend's share of dinner.

Strauss noticed that some other guests left the dinner early, but she thought they had agreed on the payment plan with the birthday boy or girl.

But when the final bill arrived, the struggling mum was shocked to see the group demanding she pay as much as £120 to cover others who had dined and stormed.

She refused to give in to the ridiculous demand and agreed to pay £40, despite ordering just £20 worth of food.

Embarrassingly, she only had £8 cash, which she wanted to leave as a tip, and £38 in her account.

“I have no money, I'm a single mother,” she said in a video.

Strauss claims she was forced to write a check to her boyfriend, who was “absolutely annoyed” at the situation, as she did not have £40 in her bank to cover her share.

“Never sit down at the table with anyone, friend or anyone else, unless you have already talked about how it will be split and what your budget will be if you all split the bill evenly,” she warned her followers.

After feeling like she was in control of the situation, the single mother complained that her friend had done this to her in the past while she was aware of her financial situation.

Hundreds of viewers sided with the TikToker, saying they would also refuse to pay for anyone else.

“Anyone who gets mad because one person paid for their own meal just wanted a discount,” one user wrote.

Another added: “I'm not cheap but it really bothers me when people order extra extra bottles of wine or dessert and then want to split the bill.”

“I feel like if you're the one inviting, you're the one paying,” said one.

Another interjected, saying, “In group settings, I always make it very clear that if I don't sleep with you or if I don't change your diapers, I won't pay your bill.”

But some people criticized the single mother for going out with no money.

“If you don't have money, don't go. Don't put yourself in bad situations,” one person wrote.

Another commented: “If you can't afford it, don't do it. That was something my mother taught me: don't go anywhere without money.”

“When it's someone's birthday, all friends (not the birthday person) are expected to split the bill equally. Or pay for their own birthday + split the birthday person's amount,” a third person added.

One viewer said: “If I can't afford the whole dinner then I'm not going.”
